Instructions

    • 1

Blot any stains with a white cloth, being careful not to rub the stain into the sofa.

    • 2

Look at the fabric on the sofa to determine the "nap." This is the direction the fabric is flowing.

    • 3

Open the windows near the sofa for ventilation, and apply a dollop of mild cleanser, such as furniture shampoo, to the odorous area.

    • 4

Brush the cleanser gently into the fabric with a soft brush, such as a baby's hair brush. Brush with the nap of the fabric.

    • 5

Wipe the area clean with a soft cloth. Repeat the steps until the odor is gone.
