How To Fold a Chair Shade

You no longer have to set up an umbrella to shade yourself at the beach. Chair shades come attached to the structural supports of your lawn chair. The only folding required happens when you take the chair down. The chair shade almost folds itself. Sunblock can only do so much to block the sun; with the invention of the attached chair shade, an extra measure of protection stands between your skin and the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.

     Grab the front of the chair shade and push it back toward the backrest of the chair.

     Allow the shade to slide down behind the backrest.

   • 3

     Reach over the backrest and grab the ends of the arm rests.

   • 4

     Pull the armrests up and back toward the backrest until they can't go any further. At this point the chair legs should be close together.

   • 5

     Fold the sides of the chair shade around the chair's arm rests, seat, backrest and legs.

   • 6

     Attach the Velcro straps together tightly.
