A rocking chair can take its toll on any hardwood flooring due the back-and-forth motion. Instead of removing the chair, save your floor by applying a simple felt pad and keep it looking attractive and unblemished. Hardwood flooring that has already been scuffed and dented from rocking chair motion can be buffed out by re-coating, which prolongs the life of your hardwood floor for many years to come.

Apply the self-adhesive, heavy-duty felt pads to the rocking chair runners and press until they are set in place. If using non-adhesive, heavy-duty felt, attach by applying a strip of hot glue to the runners and pressing the felt into place. Allow to dry until set.
