The HAG 09 Excellence is one model that offers several adjustment options.

Instructions

    • 1

While sitting in the chair, unlock the HAG 09 Excellence chair by locating the small front lever on the right side under the seat. Push it backward to unlock and forward to lock the chair.

    • 2

Adjust the seat height by raising the lever under the seat and lifting your weight off the chair until it is at your desired height.

    • 3

Adjust the seat depth by locating the first lever in the front under the seat on the left side. Lift the lever up and slide the base of the seat cushion forward or backward to a desired position. Lower the same lever to lock the seat in place.

    • 4

Adjust the backrest height by pulling the bottom of the lower back cushion and out to unlock it. Then slide it up or down to the desired position. Firmly push the bottom of lower back cushion back in to lock it in place. Adjust the headrest by using your hands to raise or lower it for your comfort.

Correct front and back resistance helps the seat maintain balance. Adjust backward resistance by turning the large wheel under the seat, to the right for less resistance and to the left for more resistance. Locate the small lever under the seat on the right side of the chair (not the front lever) and move it forward to soften forward resistance and backward to increase the forward resistance.

Adjust the height on both armrests by pressing the round buttons in on the sides and sliding the armrests up or down. To adjust the armrest width, flip the oval-shaped cap under the seat and move to the desired with; then close the cap. Locate the knob under the front of the armrests and push it in with your fingers to tilt the armrests up or down. The armrests provide elbow support, and, if you tilt them down, you can sit closer to the desk.
