How to Raise a Pneumatic Chair

Multiple manufacturers make pneumatic chairs for home and office use. The chairs are very versatile and allow users to swivel, recline and adjust seat back angle and seat height. You can push or pull a lever to adjust the back angle of the chair, twist a knob to increase or decrease the position of the backrest, or push or pull a lever to increase or decrease the height the chair.

      Raise the height of the chair. Locate the lever attached to the pneumatic cylinder. This lever is usually located on the side of the chair, directly beneath the seat. To increase the height of the pneumatic chair, lift your weight from the seat and push the lever until you reach the desired height. Release the lever to lock the position.

      Adjust the back angle of the pneumatic chair. To raise the chair from a reclined position, locate the lever on the back of the chair. While seated, pull the lever up until you reach the desired angle. Lock the position by releasing the lever.

      Raise the height of the backrest. Locate the knob on the backrest. Turn the backrest knob counterclockwise and then lift the back cushion to the desired height. Turn the knob clockwise to lock the backrest in place.
