How to Take Apart a Lounge Chair

Lounge chairs are an excellent addition to any relaxation room, providing a place to stretch out and read, listen to music or take a nap. You might want to take your lounge chair apart if you are moving house, redecorating or simply no longer need the chair. Because every lounge chair is different, some of the disassembly instructions will vary. In general, taking apart a lounge chair is uncomplicated and should only take about 10 minutes.

Instructions

      Tip the chair on its side and loosen any bolts fastening the arms in place.

      Carefully remove the bolts and set them aside. Remove the arms from the chair.

      Tip the chair upside down and loosen any bolts holding the seat to the frame.

      Remove the bolts, placing them with the others, and remove the seat from the frame.

      Loosen and remove any remaining bolts to collapse the frame.

      Gather the parts of the frame, the screws and the arms. Place the screws in a sealed plastic lunch bag and wrap the remaining parts in bubble-wrap or plastic for storage or shipping.
