Prepare the platform support for the mattress by installing one screw-in anchor (part 112996) on each of the two side rim supports and each of the two end caps. Start each anchor in its corresponding pilot hole at the center of each board, and use a screwdriver to fasten the anchors in place.
Install two more screw-in anchors at each end of both end caps. Insert the screw-lock fasteners (110630), into which the screw-in anchors are designed to fit, into the two corresponding pilot holes at each end of the side rim supports. Insert a wooden dowel into each end of the long center support beam, and arrange all the pieces in a square pattern with the rim supports on the sides, the end caps at the top and bottom perpendicular to the supports, and the center support beam up the middle.
Tilt the end caps up, and slide the screw-in anchors into the open pilot holes in each end of the rim supports and the center support. Insert one more screw-lock fastener at each end of the center support, and use the screwdriver to tighten the locks one-half turn so all the pieces hold together.
Locate the two drawer separators, which look like plain boards with a large notch at one corner. Install a wooden dowel into the bottom edge of each board, and slide it down over the screw-in anchor protruding from the top of the side rim support. Insert a screw-lock fastener into the pilot hole, and lock the boards in place.
Insert two screw-in anchors at each end of the long, thin center slat. Lay the slat up the center of the structure you already built so the anchors fit into the pilot holes in the top of the end caps. Insert two screw-locks into the pilot holes in the end caps, and tighten them. Insert two long, threaded screws (100215) into the pilot holes at the midpoint of the center slat, and use the Allen key provided with the bed to tighten the screws. Use two more threaded screws to install the floor support in the same central location over the center slat.
Install two more horizontal slats along both side of the frame by using the same method you used for the center slat.
Insert wooden dowels into the underside of the rail pieces, which will line all four sides of the bed frame. Install one dowel and one screw-in anchor at each corner formed by the four pieces, and fit them together first. Then fit them onto the edge of the frame. Use screw-lock fasteners to hold them in place.
Turn the frame over so it stands right-side-up. Use short threaded screws (113928) to install the drawer rails in place, putting one on each side of the four openings in the side of the frame. Use two angled screw-in anchors and two screw-lock fasteners to hold a flat end cover board to the frame at each end. Screw a thin, threaded screw (109504) into each of the four corners of the platform formed by the end and side cover boards atop the frame.
Lay the slat assembly onto the frame, and use one thin, threaded screw at each slat to hold the slats in place.
Assemble the drawers by installing two screw-in anchors at each end of the front panel. Slide the side panels into place over the anchors, and use screw-lock fasteners to hold the parts together. Slide the drawer bottom into the groove provided, and install the back of the drawer in place, driving barbed pins (110519) into the pilot holes with a hammer. Slide the assembled drawer into the drawer opening in the side of the frame so it rests properly on the track.
