How to Determine if a Memory Foam Mattress Is Firm or Medium?

Memory foam mattresses conform to the shape of your body. They are stiffer in cooler temperatures and softer in warmer temperatures. While these mattresses are more expensive than a spring mattress, they are also fit your body better. Most memory foam mattresses come in three styles: firm, medium and soft. The amount of firmness on a memory foam mattress is related to its density.

Feel the top of the memory foam mattress. Press your hand into it or sit on it for a basic idea of the firmness. If the memory foam hardly moves, it's firm. If the memory foam sinks a little bit, it's medium.
