C Style Futon Beds & Assembly Instructions

Futon beds are a versatile alternative to traditional beds. A C-Frame metal futon bunk bed features a twin-size traditional bed on the top bunk, and a full-size futon bed on the bottom bunk. The futon can be used, folded up as a sofa, for extra seating area when playing video games or watching television and can be folded out to be used as a full-sized bed for sleepovers.

      Slide the top bunk and the two bottom rails into the notches on the C-Frame ends. Use the 4-mm hex wrench to secure the rails and bunk with 1/4-inch 12-mm bolts. (The wrenches and bolts are supplied with the bed parts.) Attach L shaped futon brackets to the bottom rail of each C-Frame with the bottom of the L facing the back of the bed. Attach it using the 5-mm hex wrench, 5/16-inch 32 mm bolts, 22-mm washers, spring washers and 5/16-inch nuts.

      Place the rubber bumper tape near the end of the top of each rail. Attach the two panels of the futon frame to the L brackets using the 5-mm hex wrench, 5/16-inch 45-mm bolts, 22-mm washers, spring washers and 5/16-inch nuts. Attach the small wire clasp in the center of the two futon panels.

      Attach the two side panel rails to the top bunk. Use the 4-mm hex wrench, 1/4-inch 60-mm bolts and 16-mm washers to screw each end into place.
