How to Make Twin Beds Into a Single Bed

One king size bed has the same mattress area as two twin beds. If you have two twin-sized beds but would rather have a single, king-sized bed, you don't need to go out and buy a new bed. Instead, you can push the two twins together and use a mattress topper to cover the gap between them to make a large, comfortable king-sized bed.

Things You'll Need

  • Two twin beds
  • King-sized feather bed
  • One king-sized foam mattress topper
  • King-sized sheets and comforter

Instructions

    • 1

Push the two twin beds together. Push the bed frames as close together as you can.

    • 2

Push the mattresses together as tightly as they will go.

    • 3

Place a king-sized foam mattress topper or memory foam mattress topper on the bed.

    • 4

Place a feather bed with a fitted bottom over the two mattresses and mattress topper. The fitted bottom will help the two mattresses from sliding apart while also making the gap between the mattresses less noticable.

    • 5

Place king-sized sheets and a king-sized comforter on the bed.
