Cute Ways to Place a Bed in a Bedroom

Center It

• In a large bedroom, place your bed in the center of the room instead of against a wall. It is a particularly effective option if you have a highly decorative bed frame you want to showcase, such as a four-poster or canopy bed. You can hang a chandelier above the bed to emphasize the center of the room as the focal point. To anchor the bed so it doesn’t feel as if it is floating in the middle of nowhere, place an upholstered bench or trunk at the foot of the bed and a console table behind the bed to take the place of nightstands. You can place the bed against the wall of your choice, though it usually helps if you place the long side against the wall.
