How to Hook Up Plastic Lines on a Patriot Air Mattress Pump

A Patriot air-mattress-pump is used with the Patriot Low-Air-Loss Mattress. This is a type of mattress often used as a replacement for a hospital or home-care bed. The pump is used to maintain the level of air within all the cells of the mattress.

Instructions

    • 1

      Remove the comforter and sheets from the bed. Take the existing mattress off the home-care bed and set it aside.

      Place the Patriot low-air-loss mattress on the bed frame. The hose end of the mattress must be at the foot of the bed.

      Attach anchor straps to each side of the bed frame to secure the mattress. Tuck excess anchor straps under the mattress.

      Place the power unit at the foot of the bed using the hanging hooks provided with the unit. Locate the air hoses that are attached to the mattress.

      Run the air hoses to the control unit. The outlet fittings for the air hoses are located on the side of the control unit.

      Press the end of the air hoses into the outlet fittings. The quick-connect fitting snaps in place when a secure connection is made. Plug the power unit into a wall socket to complete the installation.
