How to Make Bed Linen Spray

Bed linen sprays may add a nice aroma to sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers. A neatly made-up bed for guests with attractive bedding is improved by a lovely scent. The right combination of soothing scents can even help you sleep better. While such sprays are widely available ready made, it takes five minutes to make your own, equally effective version.

Instructions

    • 1

Pour equal quantities vodka and water into a spray bottle to almost the top. The vodka is a preservative, enabling you to store the spray for several weeks. It also makes the spray evaporate slightly more quickly. If you plan to use all the spray within a few days, fill the bottle with just water.

    • 2

Drip in 10 to 15 drops each of lavender, bergamot and rosemary essential oil. These scents combine well together and are soothing.

    • 3

Replace the top of the spray bottle and thoroughly shake it.

    • 4

Turn the valve at the top to a mist, rather than a spray. Use the spray before storing newly washed bed linens, after ironing or directly on a made-up bed.
