Organize the contents of the container. There will be two long bars, normally with casters attached. There will also be two shorter bars without casters. If the bed is queen-size or larger, you'll find a stabilizer bar the same length as the two shorter bars with feet attached to it.
Assemble the metal frame. The two longest bars will have a bracket attachment at one end that attaches to the headboard and must be at the top of the bed. Lay the two longest bars out and, starting at the top, attach the shorter bars. These bars attach via a metal hook-and-eye system built into the bars. Slide the prong into the eye and slide to tighten. Do the same with the center stabilizer bar and the last shorter bar at the foot of the bed. The frame is now correctly assembled.
Attach the headboard to the metal frame. If you are using a headboard, remove the bolts from the headboard legs and slide the frame up to the headboard. Match the openings on the metal frame to the bolt holes on the headboard. Insert the bolts and tighten the nuts with a wrench. The bed is now assembled.
