Open the package that contains the Wildon Home twin bunk beds. Read through the entire installation manual, paying specific attention to any sections that deal with warnings or potential risks. Find the parts section and scan through the various boxes and bags to find each mentioned part, a job that primarily insures no parts are missing but also familiarizes you with the bed and its parts. Contact the place of purchase if any parts are missing, and wait for the new parts, or proceed, depending on the particular part's relevance.
Separate the components of the two beds into two different piles, preferably on different sides of the same room.
Assemble the headboard by holding the main headboard piece next to the two headboard posts. Set a peg inside each recessed peg area in the main board and slide a bolt through the holes in the posts and into these pegs. Tighten the bolts with an Allen wrench, using either the wrench included in the box or a larger commercial Allen wrench. Repeat to assemble the footboard.
Set the headboard and footboard parallel to each other. Hold the long mattress supports up between the headboard and footboard. Place a peg in each recessed hole in the long boards, and thread the bolts through the headboard and footboard and into the pegs in the long board. Tighten each bolt with the Allen wrench. Set the shorter mattress boards on top of the long boards. Thread a bolt down through the tops of the shorter boards and set one of the nuts on the other side. Tighten them in place using the Allen wrench.
Repeat the process to build the second bed. Slide the bunk bed attachment pins in the tops of the four posts of one bed. Have an assistant help lift the second bed above the first one, then lower it slowly on top of the first bed so the holes in the posts of the second bed cover the exposed pins in the posts of the first. Adjust the positioning as needed to make sure all pins are holding the four posts of both beds in place.
Install any additional support boards in the same manner as the long mattress boards, by holding them up to the headboard and footboard, setting the pegs within the recessed holes and passing the bolts through the headboard and footboard and into the long board.
Install ladders by holding them against the top bed and setting pegs in the recessed holes in the side of the long board. Thread bolts down through the top of the ladder and into the pegs. Tighten them in place with an Allen wrench.
