Calais Daybed Installation

Go through the parts list and find each part within the box, both to familiarize yourself with the bed and to check that all parts are included. Set small parts in project organizers, keeping them separate from other parts in your tool organizers. Contact the retailer or manufacturer if critical parts are missing.

Lay out the main pieces of one of the Calais side panels. Insert the middle rods into the larger top and bottom rods. Connect the top and bottom rods together by fastening both to the side rods, inserting the bolts into the side rods through the top and bottom rods. Tighten the bolts using an Allen wrench. Repeat to assemble the other side panel and the back panel.

Position the side panels of the bed upright and parallel with each other, using an assistant for help or by bracing one of the sections against the wall to keep it in place. Set the back panel between the side panels and attach the three pieces together using the accompanying bolts and an Allen wrench

Set the mattress support frame against the three assembled portions of the frame. Attach the mattress support frame to the other sections of the frame using the bolts and the Allen wrenches.

Go back over the entire assembled daybed frame and tighten all fasteners one final rotation to ensure a secure and solid bed frame.

Set the daybed mattress on top of the frame and add the daybed bedding.
