Instructions

    • 1

Lay out the contents of the futon kit on the floor and check that all of the parts are there. Put the screws, pins, nuts and Allen wrench off to one side in a bowl or dish so they don't get lost.

    • 2

Take out 14 conformats, 14 barrel nuts, two stretchers, two arm assemblies and the Allen wrench. Place the barrel nuts inside all the holes on the futon, making sure that the arm assemblies groves face inward, then take two of the comformats and attach one side of the stretcher to the arm assembly. Finish assembling the stretchers to the arm assemblies, going from back to front of the futon. Do not tighten the bolts completely, but leave the frame loose for now.

    • 3

Take out the two deck flats, four sliders, eight cotter pins and eight clevis pins. Put a clevis pin into a slider, push the cotter pin and clevis pin assembly into the seat deck flat, securing it with a clevis pin. Repeat for the other side and then the back deck flat.

    • 4

Lower the deck flats into the frame, putting the sliders into the groves on the arm assemblies. Lay the deck flats flat against the Futon frame bottom. Check to ensure that the frame and deck flats align.

    • 5

Tighten the comformat pins on the base of the futon. Tighten the top of one side, then the bottom of the other and repeat. Place the mattress on the futon.
