How to Fold Luggage Racks

Luggage racks are fold-out stands that can be placed at the foot of a bed or adjacent to a dresser for unpacking a suitcase. Made with two sets of scissor legs with flexible straps across the top for holding up a suitcase, luggage racks are typically made out or wood or metal. Keep a luggage rack in your guest room to ensure that overnight guests have a convenient place to keep their suitcase. Luggage racks are easy to fold and take up little storage space.

Instructions

    • 1

Grab hold of each crossbar at the top of the rack, one in each hand.

    • 2

Push both crossbars inward to start closing the legs.

    • 3

Keep the flexible straps folded down as the legs go together and the tension on the straps is released.

    • 4

Squeeze the legs all the way together until the entire rack has been flattened.

    • 5

Store the luggage rack flat, under the bed, or hung upright from two coat hooks in a closet. Hang the luggage rack from the cross bars. Keep wooden luggage racks in a place where they will not be hit or bumped in order to avoid nicks or scratches.

Unfold the luggage rack by simply grabbing hold of each crossbar and pulling apart until the flexible straps are taut and the legs are open.
