Instructions

    • 1

Determine the size to make the vanity table. A small table may measure 18 inches deep by 30 inches wide.

    • 2

Measure and mark the 2-by-4 boards for the frame of the table with the tape measure and pencil. Two boards will need to measure 18 inches and two boards will need to measure 27 inches. Cut the 2-by-4 boards with the circular saw.

    • 3

Place the pieces of wood together in the shape of a rectangle. Drill two holes in the corners where two pieces of wood meet with the power drill. Secure the wood pieces together with wood screws using the power drill.

    • 4

Measure and mark the plywood sheet 18 inches by 30 inches for the top of the table. Cut the plywood with the circular saw.

    • 5

Place the cut piece of plywood over the frame. Secure the plywood to the 2-by-4 frame with the wood screws. Pick up the table frame and set it face down on the floor.

    • 6

Measure and mark a 2-by-4 board to a length of 33 inches. Cut two pieces to this length, for the table legs, with the circular saw.

    • 7

Set one of the cut 2-by-4 boards vertically in the upper left corner of the frame. The wide side of the 2-by-4 should face the short end of the frame. Drill two holes into the frame and 2-by-4 board with the power drill. Secure the boards together with screws. Repeat this step for the other table leg.

    • 8

Measure up the wall where the table will be located to a height of 31 inches. Make a mark on the wall with the pencil. Find the studs in the wall with the stud finder.

    • 9

Set the table up against the wall. Drill two holes into the 2-by-4 frame and into the wall studs. Secure the table frame to the wall with the wood screws.
