Select a location for the bed that has an accessible electric power source. Prepare to assemble the bed in the location where you intend the bed to be used.
Read the assembly instructions. Lay out and identify the foundation and mattress pieces, matching the pieces in the package with the list of pieces in the instructions.
Connect one set of side rails labeled "A" and "B" by pushing the protrusions from rail B into the receiving slots in rail A. Insert the T-pins, "T" side up, in the slot at the junction of rail A and B. Push firmly to lock them in place. Repeat with the second set of side rails.
Insert the end beams into each end of the assembled side rails with the textured side of the beams facing the outside of the bed frame and the tabs on the beams facing up. Push firmly until the end rails are flush with the side rails. For expanded queen-size beds only, attach the corner bracket over the end of the end beam before attaching it to the side rails.
Locate the A and B grooves on the side rails near the center of the foundation. Insert the A and B end of two support rails in the A and B grooves, pressing firmly until the tops are flush with the tops of the side rails. Insert the next set of support rails in the next set of slots in the side rails.
Slide the deck panels, straight edge first, onto the assembled base from the sides of the frame until they are flush with the side and end rails.
Position the coverlet over the assembled frame with the seam at the head of the bed frame. Work it over one corner of the frame at a time until it covers the frame.
Open the package with the foam pads and remove them. Allow the pads to expand for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Place the mattress cover on the previously assembled foundation. Position the small holes in the bottom of the mattress at the head end of the assembled frame with the zipper side facing up.
Unzip and remove the mattress cover from the top of the mattress and set aside.
Place one corner lock in each corner of the mattress, underneath the border wrap.
Install the long border walls along the sides of the mattress. Install the short walls along the head and foot end of the mattress. Connect all the border walls with the corner locks. Pull the border wrap over the tops of the border walls.
Place the air chambers in the mattress with the hose connections positioned at the head end of the mattress and facing the bottom of the mattress.
Place the Firmness Control System on the floor outside the head of the assembled mattress and frame. Plug the Firmness Control System into an outlet. Working at the head end and facing the foot of the bed, insert the hose marked "L" in the hole on the left air chamber. Push firmly until the connections click. Repeat for the right air chamber and hose.
Inflate the air chambers using the remote control. Insert the foam separator between the air chambers. Make sure the border wrap lies flat at the corners and across the foam separator.
Lay the large foam comfort pad across the air chambers with the patterned side up. Extend the border wrap over the edges of the foam pad on all four sides, smoothing out the corners.
Zip the mattress cover back in place.
