Instructions for the Simplicity Children's Bed Rail

The simplicity children's bed rail is used to convert a simplicity crib into a toddler bed. This allows you to reuse the crib without having to buy a brand new bed for your young infant. You are able to convert a Simplicity infant bed to a toddler bed by attaching a toddler bed rail and making a few adjustments to the crib. However, you need to have the toddler bed rail to install.

Remove the front panel of the crib by loosening the two bolts with the Allen wrench. A bolt is on each side of the front panel.

    • 2

Adjust the mattress support for the crib to the lowest position. This allows the toddler to get in and out of the bed. Remove the four bolts that are in each corner of the mattress support. Insert the bolts at the lowest setting, and then tighten.

    • 3

Place one of the toddler bed rails onto the frame. Insert two bolts into the holes in the rail and into the bed frame. Tighten the bolts with the Allen wrench.

    • 4

Slide the metal "L" hook under the mattress support. Secure the hook to the mattress support by using a bolt. Tighten the bolt with the Allen wrench.

    • 5

Attach the other toddler bed rail to the frame. Verify that all of the bolts have been tightened securely.
