Instructions

    • 1

With pliers, remove the nails or staples that were used to secure the dust cover to the back of the dresser. Remove the drawers from the old dresser.

    • 2

Separate the front face from the drawers by removing any nails or by cutting them off with the circular saw.

    • 3

Set the dresser on its side. Measure the dimensions of the bottom with the tape measure. Cut a ¾-inch piece of plywood to the measurements with the table saw.

    • 4

Set the plywood on the bottom of the dresser. Drill pilot holes for screws into the plywood and dresser with the power drill. Secure the plywood to the dresser with screws.

    • 5

Measure the depth and width of the LCD TV. Add 1 ½ inches to the measurements and transfer them to the top of the dresser. Cut a hole in the top of the dresser for the TV lift with the circular saw.

    • 6

Apply wood glue to the perimeter of the dresser-drawer faces. Set the drawer faces back on the dresser and secure them with finish nails using the nail gun.

    • 7

Place the TV lift kit into the back of the cabinet. Secure the LCD TV lift to the plywood bottom with screws using the power drill.
