Start assembly with the bottom pieces of the closet. Locate the pieces that will make up the base. This may include wheels.
Assemble the base of the closet. Insert support bars into the base supports. Attach wheels if appropriate.
Insert the upright support bars into the base supports.
Attach the upper supports to either end of the hanger bar. If there are additional top support bars, attach them as well.
Place the hangar bar assembly onto the upright support bars.
Confirm that all attachment points are secure. If necessary, insert and tighten any screws.
Assemble the base of the closet. Attach feet to each bottom shelf unit. If wheels are included instead of feet, attach the wheels. If there are poles to raise one bottom shelf unit, attach feet to those and attach the poles to the shelf.
Attach the upright support poles to the bottom shelf.
Attach support brackets to the upright poles at the desired point for the next shelf.
Slide the shelf over the upright support poles to the support brackets. Secure the shelf with the brackets if required.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until your configuration for the freestanding closet is achieved.
Suspend the hangar bar from the top shelf following manufacturer's instructions.
Confirm that all connections are secure. If necessary, insert and tighten any screws.
