How to Drape Sheers on a Four-Poster Bed

If you have a four-poster bed and you would like to add draperies to it, you can experiment with laying the sheer fabric across the canopy frame. You do not need any hardware to drape your sheer curtains. However, you will want to experiment with tying the fabric in different ways to make sure you like the look. If you do not like the look of the fabric tied, then you can use drapery rings to hang the sheer curtains from the rails of the canopy.

Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a set of iron-on hook-and-loop strips. Plug in your iron, allow it to heat up.

    • 2

Place the first hook-and-loop strip on the top border of the sheer drapes. Remove the backing. Iron the strip so that it adheres to the curtain.

    • 3

Remove the backing from the matching strip. Place it about 3 inches below the first strip. Iron the matching strip so that it adheres.

    • 4

Pick up the drapes with the help of a friend. Place a curtain panel on the outside of the four-poster bed. Grab the top border and fold it over the top canopy rail so that the first hook-and-loop strip meets the second one. Continue draping the fabric and attaching it with hook-and-loop strips until the entire bed is covered.
