How to Replace an Old Wardrobe Lock

Wardrobes don't always house clothes and accessories. Sometimes they hold other types of items, some of which might be valuable or fragile enough to require increased security in the form of a lock. If the unit is older, you may no longer have access to the key, but you can replace the lock with a few simple tools. If the lock is an irregular size, you may need to contact a specialty shop or locksmith for a suitable replacement. However, that's preferable to attempting to alter the furniture to fit a new lock, especially if the wardrobe is an antique.
