Measure the length of the wall to determine the size of the table with the tape measure. Make a note of the measurement.
Transfer the measurement to a sheet of MDF. Cut a 2-inch strip to this length with the table saw.
Measure up from the floor 30 inches with the tape measure and mark the wall with the pencil. Find the studs in the wall with the stud finder. Mark the location of the studs with the tape measure.
Place the cut piece of MDF on the mark. Set the level on the MDF and adjust until it is level. Attach the piece of MDF to the wall with screws using the power drill.
Measure and cut a second piece of MDF to the size of the table. Place the top of the MDF facedown on a table or bench. Attach a piano hinge to one end of the MDF with screws.
Measure and cut two pieces of MDF to 2o inches by 29 1/4 inches. Attach a hinge to one end of each piece of MDF with screws. These will be the legs of the table.
Place the hinged end of the leg pieces to the front of the table piece. Attach the hinges to the table piece with screws.
Set the table piece with the attached legs on top of the strip of MDF attached to the wall. Verify that the pieces are flush. Secure the piano hinge to the MDF strip with screws.
Lower the table and legs down to the floor to test your work.
