Size of Prevost Windows

Because Prevost windows are custom-built, they do not include fixed dimensions or sizes. This offers the extra flexibility in window choices. Prevost is a Canadian company started in 1959 that also does business in the U.S. Besides windows, it offers doors, skylights, entrances and curtain walls. Prevost windows feature its unique Maxseal glazing system.
  1. Window Variations

    • Prevost offers a variety of window models. You can choose from windows that open in or out, slide horizontally or tilt and turn. Options include custom glazing with several thicknesses, integrated blinds and a large selection of hardware. Because Prevost windows come in many finishes or colors, it allows you great flexibility in your design and decor.

    1200 to 1670 Series

    • The 1200 series feature insulated, fixed windows. Available in several frame depths, this type of window is often used for "ribbon" windows or punched openings. The 1400 series includes an insulated, high performance fixed window that opens inward. It includes triple weather seals for maximum energy savings and efficiency. The frame depths for this series are either 4 or 6 inches. The model 1590 window is fixed and opens either in or out, but it is not insulated. This window is generally used for storefronts as well as commercial or industrial establishments, where thermal barrier insulation is unnecessary. The 1670 model is a fixed, insulated slider window.

    1700 Series

    • The Prevost 1700 series is available as a fixed insulated window that opens either in or out. One of the company's less expensive windows, the 1700 model suits buildings requiring a narrow framework. The frame depth for this window series is 2 1/4 inches. The 1740 model is "suitable for light duty applications where a deeper framework is needed," according to Prevost.

    1800 - 1950 Series

    • The 1800 to 1950 series windows are Prevost's heavy-duty versions, for which they offer several configurations. The entire series features windows with a framing depth of 3-inches. The 1800 insulated window is fixed and opens in or out. The similar 1840 model allows clients to choose between moving or fixed sashes. The 1840 has a very deep frame, making it suitable for any type of building. The perimeter depth is 4-inches. The 1860 is similar to the 1840 window and features a perimeter depth of 6-inches. The 1950 features a tilt and turn opening mechanism and is available in several depths.
