How to Install Wooden Window Screens

Wooden window screens are an integral part of wooden windows on your home. They are hung on the exterior of the home using special hangers. The hangers allow the homeowner to swap the screens for storm windows in the cold weather months. Wooden window screens are hung at the top of the window casing and fit tightly between the casing. The hangers come in sets. The sets include two casing side halves and two screen side halves. The bottom of the screen is held in place by a turn button on either side of the window. They can be rotated to secure or release the window screen.
