Determine whether the blinds will be inside or outside mount. This refers to mounting the blind inside the window casing or outside the window casing. The blind may also be mounted from the ceiling.
Place the shade in the desired location, marking the outside corners of the top header with a pencil.
Measure approximately 3" from the edge of the shade and place a mark with a pencil. This is where the bracket will be mounted. Do the same at the other end of the shade and mark the spot.
Place a bracket at a pencil mark to determine the location of the screw. Mark any additional holes needed by marking in the hole of the bracket for the screws. Do the same for the opposite end. If there are any center brackets, these should be marked as well.
Drill holes where the marks have been placed. These holes will be for the screws to mount the brackets.
Mount the brackets by placing a bracket over the hole and screwing in a screw with the screwdriver. Be sure to use all screws, as these will be the support of the Honeycomb blind. Mount all brackets in place with all screws provided.
Mount the shade to the brackets according to the manufacturers instructions. Some shades will snap into the brackets, while others may be supported by screw mounts. Each manufacturer may have different instructions for this step.
Install cord cleat to the wall using screws. To determine the location for the cord cleats, lower the shade to the lowest position, then check to see if the cord reaches the desired location for the cord cleats.
