How to Remove Hinged Glass Panel on a Pella Casement Window

Hinged Pella windows have a piece of removable glass that allows you to put shades or blinds between the pieces of glass instead of over it. This is an ideal way to keep your shades or blinds free from pet hair or destruction. To clean the inside of your hinged glass, you need to remove the panel. Removing the panel also lets you change the shades or blinds inside of them.

     Open the blind or shade behind the glass all the way with the cord.

     Locate the latch release on the side of your hinged Pella windows and press down on it to loosen the window glass from the frame.

     Remove the hinged glass from the window and set aside. Be sure not to cut the cord attached to the glass.
