Stretch a tape measure across the framed wall's top plate to determine the total length. Divide this measurement by four. Measure the quarter measurement in from the outside of the wall and place a mark. Repeat the process at the opposite end of the wall.
Locate the two studs located on either side of the quarter mark on one end of the wall. Slip two stud plate ties over the top plate at the points where each stud makes contact with the top plate. Match the ties' outside tabs to the studs. Hammer three 10d nails per tab through the metal ties' predrilled slots and directly into the stud.
Slip two additional stud plate ties under the framed wall's bottom plate. Match the two bottom metal ties to the ones that you slid over the top plate and secured to the vertical studs. Install the four plates at the opposite end of the wall using the quarter mark for placement.
Slip a strap underneath the top plate between the two studs that feature the stud plate ties. Repeat the process at the opposite end of the wall. Hook the opposite end of the straps to the hoist.
Raise the hoist to lift the framed wall. Tie a lead rope to one end of the framed wall to control the movement while you are raising it.
