Clean the concrete walls thoroughly with a stiff brush to remove debris, dirt and oil. A clean surface is essential in obtaining a permanent bond with the adhesive.
Spray vertical lines of foam insulation spray adhesive on the concrete wall at 12-inch intervals, pressing the insulation board in place as you work along the wall.
Press each insulation board gently into place, just until it sticks to the concrete. Allow the adhesive to rest until it has thickened slightly, up to 10 minutes. Higher temperatures cause the adhesive to thicken faster, reducing the wait time.
Secure the bond between the insulation board and the concrete by pressing firmly against the insulation. Run your hands over the entire surface, like you are smoothing away wrinkles.
Allow the insulation boards to remain undisturbed for at least 20 minutes before attempting any further work in the area.
