Pry the baseboards from the wall with the crowbar. Slip the bar between the baseboard and the wall and pull out. In some cases, baseboards are connected to the wall with small nails, which should pull free. If the baseboard is glued to the wall be extra careful and slow as you pry it free or it could break.
Turn on the blow heater to a medium to high heat and hold it over the wall paneling. Move the heater up and down over one piece of paneling to loosen the adhesive that holds it to the wall.
Slip the crowbar between the wall and the paneling once it’s warm and pull the paneling off the wall. Repeat the process with the entire wall paneling.
Sand the wall smooth with the 150-grit sandpaper.
Hold the new wall paneling up to the walls and measure it to make sure it will fit. Apply the adhesive to the back of the paneling and press it against the wall in the corner in the room. Hammer two to three small nails in each board, from top to bottom, to hold the paneling against the wall. Install the next piece of paneling right next to the first until the whole room is finished.
Apply the adhesive to the back of the baseboard and push it into the bottom of the wall paneling. Hammer one nail into the baseboard every foot to hold it in place.
