How to Get Bumps Out of My Basement Wall From Cement Pouring

Holes and weak spots in the form work can cause bumps to appear in a poured concrete wall. Thankfully, they are relatively easy to cover up, if not remove completely. Getting rid of bumps in a cement wall requires grinding and polishing, which can be difficult depending on the severity and number of bumps.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Lay the drop cloth on the floor near the area you'll be working on. There will be a lot of dust and debris as you work. Cover furniture and wear work gloves.

    • 2

Grind the bump with the grinder, equipped with a diamond cup. Wash the wall to remove sand and dust.

    • 3

Paint the concrete wall, if desired. Paint can help to hide imperfections in the wall.
