Instructions

    • 1

Measure out the dimensions of the walkway with the measuring tape.

    • 2

Press a wooden stake into the ground at each corner of where the walkway will go.

    • 3

Connect all of the stakes with string, knotting it so it will stay in place.

    • 4

Dig out the area for the walkway with the shovel. Measure it in various places with one of the bricks or pavers to make sure it is deep enough for them to sit flush with the ground. Remove the stakes and the string.

    • 5

Lay the bricks or pavers in the dug out area. Place them as close together as possible.

    • 6

Go over the bricks with the wooden plank. If any are sticking up unevenly, hit them with the mallet to push them down.

    • 7

Pour some sand on the bricks and push it into the cracks with the broom.
