How to Estimate a Concrete Driveway Replacement

Estimating the cost of a concrete driveway replacement involves finding out a few specific pieces of information. You also have to decide if you're going to be laying the concrete yourself or if you're having a company do it. Its important to remember that an estimate is not the exact figure you'll end up paying. Always add a little to your estimate so that you come in high, as doing so is better than coming in way under the actual figure.

Instructions

    • 1

Find the length, width and depth of your current concrete driveway. Measure the length and the width in feet and measure the depth in inches. To convert the depth measurement to feet, divide whichever number you get (for example, six inches) by 12 (which would result in 0.5 feet).

    • 2

Multiply all of the dimensions you have found together. Multiply length, width and depth to find the volume in cubic feet of your current concrete driveway.

    • 3

Find out how many cubic feet of concrete your desired concrete delivery method provides. For example, if your driveway is 1000 cubic feet and you're ordering bags of concrete that each contain 10 cubic feet of concrete, you know you need 100 bags. You can multiply the price of a single bag by 100 to find an estimate price of what all the concrete will cost.
