How to Install a Neo Shower

The Neo Shower is an enclosed shower that has a modern cornered design that allows for more space than a common shower. For installation, the builder will use several tools to precisely construct the unit to withstand water pressure from the shower and leakage near the floor. The finished product is something to be proud of each time it is enjoyed.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the shower tray, the base of the shower, on the floor. The tray must be snug with the walls and lined up to the drain pipe in order to prevent leaks. There are two basic sizes of Neo showers. One has a required wall length of 35 1/2-inches and another is 38 1/4-inches, both at a 90 degree angle.

    • 2

Find the two wall profile pieces (#2), and place them vertically on the very end of the external edge. Level them, one at a time, then drill out the holes for the screws using the pre-drilled holes as guides. Insert the wall anchors (#9) into the holes then screw in the ST 4.2x30 round head, self-tapping screws (#12) into the wall anchors.

    • 3

Place the two glass profile pieces (#1) onto the top of the wall profile pieces with the ST 4.2x18 round head, self-tapping screws (#11). Double check the profile with the leveler to ensure all sides are directly vertical. Tighten the profile sides with the screw driver.

    • 4

Set the two support bars (#6) onto each one of the glass profile pieces (#1). They should be parallel to the floor, so check with the leveler to ensure these supports are lying perfectly flat. Mark the spot on the wall where the support bar is to be placed in its flat position. Drill the holes required to set the support bars in for security. Place the anchor of the mounting bracket into the wall and set the support bar onto this bracket.

    • 5

Screw in the two hinges (#7) to the glass profile piece on the right hand side. The hinges will be secured to pre-drilled holes and will screw from the inside of the shower. Make sure they are secured enough to support the door and level so the door does not rub on either side. Have a friend hold the glass door (#5) up to the hinges as you fasten them on with the screw driver. Do not release the door until it is tightly held on by the hinges.

    • 6

Push down the anti-water strip that is attached to the glass door to seal the gaps between the door and glass profile sides. Place the magnetic strips (#13) around the door and the last anti-water strip (#16) to the bottom.

    • 7

Secure the handle (#8) to the glass door. The longer handle will lie horizontally on the front of the shower door and the shorter handle will be positioned vertically inside. Use the rubber gaskets between the glass and the handles when placing the washers on for installation. The handles will fit into pre-drilled holes.

Seal the inner and outer lip of the tray and profile walls with silicone caulk. This will keep water from spilling out.
