How to Price Garage Flooring Epoxy Installation

Garage floors can become dirty and drab over the years, collecting small oil stains and other engine-related grit and grime. Having epoxy flooring installed in your garage will provide years of low-maintenance beauty. Oil and other engine fluids wipe up with a paper towel and won't leave behind a nasty residue that is so common in uncoated concrete floors.

Call three to five different flooring epoxy installers to give you an estimate. Prices can vary widely from company to company so it pays to compare the prices from several. Also make sure they provide references, proof of insurance and any license that may be needed when they come to measure your garage.

Ask what the estimate includes. Will they prep the concrete or just clean it? Most concrete will need some sort of abrasion to make sure the epoxy adheres properly and the concrete will need to be thoroughly cleaned of dirt, oil and gasoline residue.

Check the references provided by the companies. Ask if they were satisfied with the work performed. Also ask about the professionalism of the workers and the time it took to complete the job. Lastly, ask if they would hire the company again.

Compare the different quotes to see which one provides the most service for the least price. Keep in mind that the lowest price is not always the best deal and if your gut tells you that something is not right with a bid it usually isn't.
