How to Hang Office Cabinets

Office cabinets provide sturdy, tough storage space for homes and offices. Unlike standard cabinets that secure directly into the wall, office cabinets attach to wall braces. The braces provide both support and convenience, as you can easily move and reorganize cabinets to meet the company's needs.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the studs along the wall with a stud finder and mark them with a pencil.

    • 2

Measure your cabinet and subtract 1/4-inch from the total measurement.

    • 3

Cut the cabinet brace using the above calculated measurement with a hand saw.

    • 4

Determine where you'll place the cabinet and mark a straight line the length of the cabinet with a level. This will ensure ease of installation of the brace.

    • 5

Install the brace into the wall with 1-inch wood screws and a power drill, placing screws into as many studs as possible.

    • 6

Slide the cabinet brace onto the wall braces.

    • 7

Slide the cabinet onto its braces and verify that it is level.

    • 8

Install any cabinet doors, drawers and shelves according to your manufacturer's guidelines.
