Cut the power to the location in which you will be working. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker.
Run the alternating current conductor wires from the circuit panel to the proposed sign location. Trim away any excess wire with the wire cutters.
Attach the green neutral wire to the neutral block on the breaker of the lighted sign. The neutral block on the sign will be labeled "neutral" or match the color of the neutral wire.
Join the remaining three wires with the three wires on the lighted sign. Match the colors of each wire together. Strip 3/4 inch from the end of each wire with the wire cutters. Twist together the wires. Wrap each twist with electrical tape. Cap each twist by screwing on a wire cap.
Prepare the lighted sign for mounting. Remove any mounting screws and plastic fasteners from the sign and place them aside. Turn the screws counterclockwise to loosen and remove them.
Tuck the wires into the open back of the sign. Place the wires in the area furthest away from the light in the sign. The light may be warm and should not be too close to the wires. Storing the wires in the box with the light will not cause damage as long as they are kept at a distance from the light.
Hold the sign against the wall. Insert all of the mounting screws through the plastic fasteners and the wall with a power drill.
Turn the power back on to the area in which you have been working. Flip the switches on at the circuit breaker.
