Lift the drilling spindle head so that it faces out rather than down. This is the position that you set the mill head when loading the machine with wood. If the mill head will not stay in this position on its own, you will have to hold it in place with one hand or have a friend hold it in place as you work.
Fit the R8 taper drive adapter over the existing mill spindle head. Tighten the bolt at the base of the taper adapter with a wrench.
Fit the adjustable multiple spindle head over the taper adapter. Align the spindle heads into the desired position. Screw the spindle heads in place by tightening the bolts with a wrench.
