How to Install Limit Switches in a Milling Machine

Milling machines are large machine shop tools used to machine large pieces of metal or wood. A limit switch on a milling machine acts as a cut-off switch if the machine either overheats or exceeds normal position. Limit switches are typically installed on the front panel of most milling machines. If the limit switch shorts out or goes bad, the milling machine may possibly perform functions which could be considered unsafe for the operator. Installation of a new switch takes less than an hour.

    • 5

Connect the new limit switch wires to the connectors on the milling machine and then solder them together with the solder.
