• The Model No. 315-216360 has a 120-volt, 1.2 amp, 60 HZ-AC-only motor with a variable drive between 500 and 1,600 blade strokes per minute. It uses a 5-inch blade with a plain end or pin end.

  The aluminum table measures 10 5/8 inches by 18 ¾ inches and tilts 45 degrees to the right and 10 degrees to the left. The saw weighs 28 pounds and is 12 ¼ inches wide, 25 ¼ inches long and 14 inches high.

  The saw will cut wood, wood composite, plastic or other fibrous materials, as well as aluminum, brass and copper.

Features

• You can clamp the Model No. 315-216360 to a workbench with C-clamps or bolt it with 5/16-inch machine bolts, lock washers and nuts. A blade storage drawer under the saw table holds up to 20 saw blades.

  The hold down foot on the saw rests on top of the work piece to hold it in place. The blade guard on the foot prevents accidental contact with the saw blade. A blade wears faster on plywood and other laminates, hardwood, and thicker material, and when side pressure is applied to the blade. Fine narrow blades – ¼ inch or less – are best for thin material. Wider blades are best for thicker material, but cannot cut the type of small curves that narrower blades can.

  You tighten plain end blades in place with a knob and slip pin end blades into slots for the blades. You use the blade tension knobs to set or release the tension for blade changes or to adjust the tension on the blade.

Warranty and Repair

• The Craftsman Scroll Saw Model No. 315-216360 has a one-year warranty against defects in material or workmanship when used for personal use. If the saw is used commercially or as a rental, the warranty period is only 90 days.
