Instructions for the Pit Bull Drill Bit Sharpener Stand

Drills are power tools that use bits, which are sharp spiral-shaped rods, to pierce wood, metal or other surfaces and make holes in them. Rather than throw away drill bits once they have become dull, many people use drill bit sharpener stands, like the Pit Bull Drill Bit Sharpener Stand, to resharpen their bits. Mount the Pit Bull sharpening stand to a solid work bench or table before using it. It takes approximately 20 minutes to set up and use the Pit Bull.

Instructions

    • 1

Set the Pit Bull Drill Bit Sharpener Stand on a flat work bench. Mark on the bench the area where the four mounting holes are and then move the stand.

    • 2

Drill a hole at each corner where you made the marks.

    • 3

Set the sharpener in place. Slide the bolts that come with the stand through the mounting holes. Screw the nuts onto the end of each bolt and tighten them firmly with the open-end wrench.

    • 4

Place the drill bit, sharp end up, into the bit holder and twist the holder adjustment knob to the right to clamp down and hold the bit in place.

    • 5

Set the depth of the grinding control by turning the depth knob either to the left or to the right. Lower the grinding arm, if necessary, to fit the grinding chamber over the bit. This will determine the proper depth needed if the needed depth is unknown.

    • 6

Plug the sharpener stand into a wall socket.

    • 7

Lower the grinding arm in place over the drill bit and then slide the trigger guard backward to unlock it.

    • 8

Squeeze the trigger to sharpen the bit.
