Instructions

    • 1

Locate the holes in the center of the ways on the Woodpeckers drill press table. Push the flat-head screws up through the bottom of the table though the holes in the ways, then thread on the oven nuts. Position the oval nuts so the longer sides of the nuts run parallel with the walls of the ways. There are two holes in each way; one towards the front of the table and one towards the back.

    • 2

Slide the tracks into the ways. One side of the track has a T-slot that slide over the oval nuts. Line the track up flush with the front edge of the Woodpeckers table. Tighten the flat-head screws with a screwdriver. This locks the rails into the ways of the table.

    • 3

Install the four leveling screws into the square recess in the center of the Woodpeckers table with a screwdriver. Thread the screws until the heads are flush with the countersink in the hole for the screw.

    • 4

Remove the original table from your drill press. In most cases, if you look under the table you will find mounting bolts that hold it to the vertical post that connects the drill head to the base of the drill. Remove the bolts with a socket set.

    • 5

Place the Woodpeckers table face down on a table, then place the original table face down on top of the Woodpeckers table. Center the original table over the 3/8-inch hole in the Woodpeckers table.

    • 6

Mark four evenly spaced mounting hole locations through the slots in the original table and onto the Woodpecker's table. Drill out the mounting hole locations with a 5/32-inch drill bit to a depth of ¾ inch.

    • 7

Place oval washers onto the coarse thread screws and secure the tables together with the screws and a screwdriver.

    • 8

Place the tables back onto the drill press and secure them. With the table reinstalled, place the 4-by-4 inch block of wood supplied with the table into the recess on the Woodpeckers table.

    • 9

Install the Z-brackets into the ways on the Woodpecker table. Slide the heads of two hex-bolts into each way. Slide a third hex-bolt through the center hole on the top of the Z-bracket and then place the Z-bracket onto the hex-head threads mounted in the ways. Secure the Z-bracket with three washers and three nuts.

    • 10

Slide the fence rail under the Z-brackets so the hex-head on the bolt mounted to the top of the Z-bracket slides into the ways on the fence.

    • 11

Slide a hex-bolt into the front T-slot on the fence, then place the L bracket onto the threads on the bolt. Tighten the T-bracket with the last nut. This acts as the positive stop for the fence.
