Brands of Wood-Turning Lathes

A wood turning lathe is a woodworking tool used to create a turned object. There are two types of wood-turning lathes; the faceplate turning and the spindle turning. The faceplate turning is also used for metal carving and involves a cast iron or metal plate being attached in the lathe. The spindle turning involves placing the wood in the center of the lathe and is ideal for furniture legs, bats, and candlesticks.
