How to Adjust the Pitch on My Sears Jointer/Planer

Adjusting the pitch on the Sears jointer/planer will allow you to make a variety of cuts in your wood. The fence on the top of the jointer/planer can be set at different angles by adjusting the lock knobs. The fence can be set for any angle between 0-45 degrees in just a few minutes. The Sears jointer/planer gives you the flexibility to create bevels and chamfer edges on your wood as well.

Instructions

    • 1

Decide the angle at which you need to set the Sears jointer/planer, and loosen the lock knobs on the fence.

    • 2

Pull the stop pins out, and set the fence at the angle you desire.

    • 3

Push the stop pin into the fence when you have the angle set, and tighten the lock knobs on the fence.
