How to Level a Wood Lathe

A wood lathe is a saw-like device that is used to shape and smooth out wood. Wood lathes consist of a four-legged base, a pinning blade and center, which is where the the piece of wood is placed and held while the lathe shapes it. Wood lathes are commonly used to shape pieces like table legs or wooden staircase banister spindles. In order for the wood lathe to cut accurately it must be leveled. An assistant will make this job go easier.
