Instructions for a Master Mechanic Cordless Screwdriver

Whether tackling a major project or just tightening a single screw, a cordless screwdriver is a handy item to have. One advantage of a cordless screwdriver is that it has more power than a regular screwdriver. A cordless screwdriver also has greater mobility than an electric screwdriver/drill combination tool. Master Mechanic manufactures a cordless screwdriver that can fit Phillips-head and flat-head screwdriver tips, as well as drill bits. The Master Mechanic screwdriver is available in most home improvement stores. Master Mechanic makes two types of cordless screwdrivers - one with a key-operated chuck, the other with a keyless chuck.

Plug the battery charger into a 120-volt wall socket.

    • 2

Slide the battery, following the directional arrows marked on the Master Mechanic screwdriver, onto the portable, plug-in wall charger.

    • 3

Charge the battery for a full nine hours before using the Master Mechanic screwdriver for the first time. After the first use, it only needs to be charged for five or six hours.

    • 4

Insert the key into the chuck sleeve and turn it to the left to open it and then place the screwdriver tip in to be used. Turn the chuck key to the right to tighten the chuck on the screwdriver tip or drill bit. For the Master Mechanic cordless screwdriver with a cordless chuck, pull the chuck sleeve backwards and then insert the screwdriver tip to be used and release the chuck sleeve.

Press the direction switch above the trigger in and to the right to screw in a screw or to the left to reverse or unscrew screws. Squeeze the trigger to screw or unscrew screws.
