Mix together 1 tbsp. of baking soda and 1 tsp. of water in a small bowl until they form a paste.
Use a rag to apply the baking soda paste to the rusted area of metal.
Crumple up a small ball of tin foil in your hands about the size of a golf ball.
Scrub the baking soda paste into the rusted metal using the tin foil ball as a scrubbing pad.
Wipe the baking soda paste and loose rust off of the metal with a damp rag.
Repeat the process with fresh paste and a new ball of tin foil, if necessary.
Dry the metal with a clean rag when finished
